Songul Avci Karakaya, BSN, RN, NC-BC
Songul Avci Karakaya has been dedicated to the nursing profession since graduating from Hacettepe University in Turkey in 2006. Her career began in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where she developed a deep passion for supporting vulnerable infants and their families during some of life’s most critical moments.
After relocating to the United States, Songul earned her Registered Nurse License in 2015 and expanded her clinical expertise across a variety of healthcare settings. Her professional experience includes serving as a school nurse for children with special needs, working in emergency department, medical-surgical and telemetry unit, progressive care, and travel nursing assignments throughout multiple healthcare systems. These diverse experiences have provided her with a broad clinical perspective and a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
Today, Songul serves as the Director of Nursing at Angels of Americare and continues her clinical practice as a NICU nurse at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Her combined leadership and bedside experience allow her to support both patients and healthcare teams with compassion, clinical excellence, and a holistic approach to wellness.
In 2025, Songul became a Board Certified Nurse Coach, further expanding her ability to guide individuals toward healthier and more fulfilling lives. As the founder of Hope Health and Wellness Nurse Coaching, she partners with clients seeking sustainable lifestyle changes, improved well-being, and greater balance in their personal health journeys. Her coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that true wellness encompasses the mind, body, and spirit, and that lasting transformation begins with awareness, empowerment, and intentional action.
Songul currently resides in New Jersey with her husband and their two beautiful children. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she deeply values her roles as a mother, wife, daughter, friend, nurse, and coach. She believes that each role offers an opportunity to lead with kindness, authenticity, and purpose. In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, practicing mindfulness, pursuing personal growth, and helping others discover their own path toward health and well-being.
